Glass Wing Syndrome is what it's generally referred to when a pegasus' wings break easily. I use a version of it in Gryphon A Second Chance, but that's more along the lines of Struck By Lightning Wing Syndrome.

And yes, depression is not something to be joked about.

Stories can use depression though, it just depends on how you go about using it.

I myself am a fan of Earn Your Happy Ending, so I enjoy putting my protagonists through hell, just to see them overcome it.

Earn Your Happy Ending is awesome. It's one of the reasons I like FMA: Brotherhood (and the FMA manga) so much.

But what would the people involved with the show think if they saw all the Rainbow-Dash-Is-Suicidal fanfics?

Everything is something to be joked about, but especially depression.

I've seen a pic of RD hanging herself and one of Fluttershy jumping off a cliff. Not the best ways for flying creatures to do themselves in, really.

You just don't joke about suicide. You know how many bronies are dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts? And those pictures and fanfics are a huge trigger.

I make a point not to read them, either. Granted, it's not always about the subject matter; sometimes they just don't look well-written.

Yeah, no, not anything to joke about. I suffer from occasional depression, though I've only ever had suicidal thoughts once (and that passed quickly), and it's no fun at all.

Where should Spike be categorized in the characters pages? I've asked that in two

different

discussion pages, and one point I've seen mentioned in both is that "mane cast" is "just" a pun; question is, is it our pun or the writers' pun? If "mane cast" isn't official, then we may as well either scrap the pun or remove Spike from the category. So the question is twofold; does Spike belong categorized in mane cast, and if not, where else?

I kinda want to read one of these depression fics now. Not sure why.

So yeah, this whole Luna episode appears to have overshadowed this new no Aesop episode. I haven't though about it much. The only problem I have is it seems formulaic ("Oh no Celestia's gonna be mad ha ha just kidding") so I hope they throw in a "learn to say" goodbye aesop.

Just leave Spike with the "mane" cast. He's not quite as much of a key player, but he's with Twilight so much that he's one of the most significant.

Plot, as in plot of a story is fine. Just because a bunch of oversexed brats try to hillllariously use it to sexify pony butts, it doesn't make it a wrong word.
