Part of what I liked about the first two (and the first Iron Man films) were that they seemed more rooted in a realistic universe. Once they started sticking superpowers in there everywhere it changed the tone quite a bit.

This is what I loved so much about the first Iron Man film too.

@Chadaman: This version of Bane is basically a different character with a few similarities, just like Ras Al Ghul was.

His voice is absolutely hilarious and incredibly jarring the first few times you hear it, but when I decided to stop trying to take him seriously and just enjoy his quirky hamminess and undeniable badassery I ended up liking him quite a bit.

There's something somewhat endearing about a guy who takes the opportunity to make several epic speeches when he knows full well that hardly anyone can actually understand what he's saying. It's like a kid with leg braces that repeatedly tries out for the soccer team no matter how often he gets unpicked, because he just knows that if he keeps working at it, someday, maybe, he'll be able to succeed almost as much as the least useful kid on the team.

Avengers Hulk is still the best though. Such a good character.

I liked Brune Banner better. Hulk is just all CGI SMASH, not a real character.
