Lyra's last name is Heartstrings. She's easily excited and overemotional and is often portrayed in unusual situations or as a non-unicorn in the fandom.

Her best friend is Golde Harvest nicknamed Carrot Top. Friendly rival and next door neighbour of Applejack. Farms carrots and is also an athelete and straight mare. Is generous and allows Derpy to stay at her place. Gets her fridge emptied this way.

Also, Amethyst "Sparkler" Star: Dinky's older sister. Extremely sarcastic but good with animals and children.

Golden Harvest being Lyra's best friend is canon. Bon-Bon is usually assumed to be Lyra's girlfriend.
