I guess I'm lucky to have the opposite problem of most people here. I have plenty of money but nothing I particularly want to buy.

Yeah, I have a cousin that can fix and build computers. I'd probably be able to get him to do it for me for cheap, it's just that he's a very intimidating person.sad

I'm sure he doesn't do it on purpose, though. He's actually quite upbeat about certain subjects, and he seems to be reasonable about bronies, despite not being one.

[up]I kinda have that problem on the scale of software instead of hardware. I'm trying to save up for something, but those Nintendo e-Shop games are just so tempting!

I think I have enough money and some things I want, but might want to work on how much I spend.

Today was okay.

I got a background part in my school's first-ever tv commercial.

@Condo: Random Question, but how far are you into Cowboy Bebop?

16 sessions, I think.

It is So Cool It's Awesome.

And this scene here...

The first time I saw it, it brought tears to my eyes. Then I texted my sister and told her to google "spike fall out of a window" and watch the video that said Green Bird because it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

She did, even though it was 1 in the morning at the time. She's cool like that.

The main reason I don't just build my own computer is because I use a laptop. I need to be able to move it around due to school and whatnot.

I'll definitely pick up the Wii U eventually, although I'll probably wait until more games come out for it. Maybe when I get out of grad school I'll get myself one as a graduation present.

@Condo: I see. And I agree with you on that. I'd probably say that my favorite episodes are the ones with Vicious in them, mostly because they have a much more darker and serious tone then most of the other episodes {That's not to say that there arn't any other dark episodes though, cause there are} and because they have the best music in the series. Something tells me that you might like Session 20, AKA "Pierrot Le Fou".wink

I never actually moved up from the Nintendo GameCube to the Wii, so once I have enough money for a Wii U, I'll be catching up with Wii games. Hooray for backwards compatibility!

Also, congrats to nomuru the background pony!

I do like the episodes with Viscous in them. That episode and Jupiter Jazz are some of my favorites.

And yeah, the music ROCKS.

And I am marginally aware that evil guy with white hair is an anime thing. Why is that?

Who here has seen Casino and the original Dawn of the dead? Both of those are two of my favorite movies of all time.

Those are both good movies.

However, I am incapable of choosing a favorite movie because there is just so much awesome in the world.

If possible, why not get a cheap laptop and use a desktop for gaming?

If portability isn't an issue, you definitely get more bang for your buck with a desktop.

I highly doubt I'll get a Wii U, if at all...

Due to changes in my life, I'm pretty much retired from Console gaming...
Do it, Rockapella!

Well, I have a field trip to Camp Hazen this coming Thursday. It's gonna be SO AWESOME /)^3^(.

As for desktops being an option, I'll try to find one. It's actually a necessity that I have a decent computer for a project I'm planning. It's a fan series made entirely in Source Filmmaker.

Also, I'd suggest buying most of the toys you want, with the exceptions being if your girlfriend wants to buy you a gift or somesuch.

I was never into Console gaming in the first place. Computer games are so much more practical.

The only things on the console that I tried was Kingdom Hearts and Tekken 3. Tekken was ok, but KH somehow felt clunkier with a gamepad than, say, ports of Legacy of Kain Defiance and Devil May Cry 4 on the PC that transplanted the same control scheme onto the keyboard.

True, but I can't imagine playing Metroid Prime 3 on a PC.

Unrelated newsflash.

By popular request, the mad genius Harald B released a Vanilla Version of the Changeling Empire mod for Civ V. I just grabbed it and started a new game, with one of the civs preset to be the Changelings.

I plan on exterminating Chrysalis and her infernal brood, but for now, I must begrudgingly work alongside Chrysalis. She is currently working to destroy Askia along with Suleiman, and since I'm on friendly terms with the Ottomans, I have no choice but to cooperate.

Reminds me of the flavor quote for the Computer tech in Civ V.

"Computers are like Old Testament Gods: Lots of rules, and no mercy."
