It would be a stark contrast to what The Hub is now. They bury the show at 1:30 ET so nobody without a DVR can find it. Bonus Wall Banger points to them for this being the time when the target audience is ordinarily in school.

Off-topic, but...it just dawned on me (through your use of "ET") that there's actually a not-insignificant portion of the country (the Central time zone) where TV schedules are shifted by an hour local time for the convenience of the East Coast. Weird.
(Incidentally, I have no idea how Mountain time deals with TV schedules)
Awesome. Now all we need is someone who can't fly straight to make a Derpy jet. Actually, speaking of that, something's occured to me: if a Pony's cutie mark is supposed to represent what they want to do with their lives, what do Derpy's bubbles mean? Is she...is she an alchoholic?
Also, this thread now contains Equestria's Socio-economics. You're welcome

I love how she's being prejudiced herself by claiming that rainbow colors automatically mean that the character is, in fact, homosexual.
The worst thing is how this person seems incapable of grasping children. A child doesn't even know about the rainbow color symbolism until you teach them! How are children supposed to grow up tolerant to different races with such a racially indiverse show? The only ponies that matter are the black ones? Black people aren't even black, they're brown, and if you're just gonna go by color, then there's a billion races available there! That's what the children see! They don't go looking for shitty details like that, and if they were looking for them, they'd already be like her!

Don't you just love how people assume kids pick up on those tiny minute details and then assume this means occurrences a, c, and z but not say b, t, or f... AND YET. They think kids aren't capable of grasping the fact that while it's okay for Cookie Monster to eat cookies all the time (being well a cookie monster) it's not okay for them to eat cookies all the time. And SO, Cookie Monster is now the Veggie Monster who will eat ONE cookie and then tell them its a sometimes food.

Faust's rebuttal and Mephisto's riposte was uplifting, though. Especially because the show was apparently defended by plenty of people on that very site. So I guess it was more of a case of one person being dumb rather than a whole hive of idiots.

"A child doesn't even know about the rainbow color symbolism until you teach them!"
Or the fact that if a little girl is more masculine, she's obviously and automatically a lesbian. It's not like kids tend to be somewhat ignorant of gender roles that society puts them in. Plus, a show is trying to teach girls that they don't have to be stereotypically a certain way. But you can't because it will obviously reflect on sexuality, something which a large majority of kids don't even really think about.
That article on the economy of the MLP:FiM world was interesting, though. I will never stop being annoyed by how Twilight was able to get a large fraction of tress plucked with her magic. Let's face it: the earth ponies are kind of useless compared to unicorns or even the pegasus. If this were a darker series, they would probably be oppressed or segregated.

To be fair, that was Twilight. She's kind of a magical badass.
... I wonder what people think of the word "ass" in Equestria.
"A-word" privileges, anyone?

^You know what, that's true. I keep thinking that every unicorn has Twilight's powers when that's not true. Trixie was shown being better at magic than the average Ponyville resident and Rarity doesn't really use her magic except for when she's making stuff. So, I guess Twilight is a particular exception as she specializes in magic while other unicorns only seem to use their magic for their specific calling in life.
I think ass is probably a bad word there.

They would probably pull the "stubborn as a mule" gag if they did an "ass" gag.
"Don't be such a dumb ass!" Turns to donkey. "No offense."
