40% quality 60% circumstances. The show is not the best cartoon I have seen, but the internet was ripe for something just like it.

This episode indeed reminded me of Mare-Do-Well due to the way it directly forced a Compressed Vice on the entire setting for the sake of its Aesop. Fortunately for me, it mostly affects background ponies, which are rarely my interest.

Someone created the characterization, people latched on because they wanted someone to relate too (most bronies being geeks), it became so ingrained in our heads that that is our natural thought of how she acts?

I'm watching episode 16 "Read it and Weep" now - and the first thing that occurs to me is that according to the X-ray of Rainbow Dash's wing the doctor holds up, pegasus wings have a totally different structure to bird wings.
