Welp, I totally just made an account for the sake of talking about my little ponies. I have officially left my dignity behind.

I just got back from /co/. Apparently there's some mod actions taking place against the pony threads and pony fags and pony haters are spamming raeg.

I got hooked on the show distracting my baby sister with random TV.

That line was brilliant. Just anything with Fluttershy actually being irritated is amusing.

It's fun trying to guess Fluttershy's threshold exactly. Anyone remotely resembling the Beware the Nice Ones trope amuses me.

I'm not impressed by Beware the Nice Ones. Not the extreme forms anyway. At this point, when you see a really sweet-natured character, you can assume that it will be subverted hard at some point. The good thing about Fluttershy is that when her niceness is subverted, it's not much of a subversion, but just an extension of her personality. When she went crazy over Rainbow Dash's success, she was just really happy. When she faced down the dragon and the cockatrice, she acted like a stern mother. When she actually gets annoyed, it just goes to show that she's huma- err. You know.

That she's... pony?

EDIT: So I was watching the episode with uber magical trixie or whatever... and realized there are identical triplet ponies! And they're boys too I think!

After-two-part-pilot report: (1-Year Revisits in parenths)

Applejack's Southern accent is way, way too thick for my tastes. (Nope! Not anymore)

Other than that, pretty good so far.

Mental note: Skip musical numbers. Way too annoying. [There are exactly two musicals I have ever liked: Spamalot! and Across the Universe. Musical numbers in non-musicals... just no.] (Used to be. Now it depends on the song... West Side Story will forever be reviled in my eyes, though)

I felt like the buildup to the almost-title-drop was a bit long. (Yeah, that's still pretty long)

Still overall pretty good. I don't have a feverish passion for it like everypony*

I figure I might as well use that

else, but I think I could watch a few more when the time comes next week.

I think it's funny how Fluttershy is possibly one of the oldest ponies of the group.

How do you figure that? All we know is she's older than Pinky.

I am fascinated by the curiosity of what the parents of the ponies might look like.

We've already had various pony ages and looks. Wrinkly ponies, grey hair. It's going to be fascinating to see how they choose to portray age in the parents of the ponies. I'm also so very happy that they're subverting the tropes of parents whom are never there. Leave it to Lauren Faust to avert this trope I'm tired of seeing.

Whaaaaaat. Pinkie's fear song is one of the best moments in the entire series.
