I notice that the backstory presented in "Hearth's Warming Eve" could work with the story I'm working on. I had intended to start the story with a short passage explaining the founding of Equestria, and I think I could work the great blizzard into it...

Celestia and Luna. It's kind of obvious that they are the gods of Equestria, but just where in the Eight Hells did they come from?

...I say eight because one of the levels of Hell was accidentally destroyed in the Great Banana Peel Disaster. (See The Noodle Incident thread)

Ehem. It depends. In Hearthwarming it says all these events happened before them. That would mean they are in fact no gods. However, the new flag of Equestria already shows them - which, though, could be an anachronism on part of the theatre. What clear is they only came to the forefront later - probably when Discord began to screw everything up. Whether they rose as normal but magically very potent Alicorns, or always had been gods in the background before, who knows?

Kind of a tie between twilight and rainbow dash for me when it comes to the mane 6.

My favorite background pony's are derpy, vinyl scratch, lyra, bonbon and octavia.

The whole Dan Vs. thing going on for quite some time.
