I know, and we should be grateful. Without their support, we wouldn't have FIM.

I admit I haven't seen them, but the original and My Little Pony Tales look like they may actually be worth a trial watch.

I'm not going to slag off the G1 cartoon. I'm not interested in it myself, but without it Friendship Is Magic would most certainly not be what it is now.

G1 seems decent.

G3 seems to be satanspawn.

I now feel really dumb for not getting this until it was pointed it out to me.

And yes, my mind is now blown.

I followed that in the episode, but I only just now realised quite how meta that bit was.

Twilight was awesome in that scene.

That pic of Twilight is best picture of book obsesed character ever.

Wait, you didn't get it sooner?

She even specifically asked Spike to get her the book that contained the information on the Elements.

After that, I understood why they didn't go to Everfree instead of Ponyville.

I got it in terms of it being back in Ponyville, and it being the book containing information on the elements. What I didn't do was make the connection that "back where you began" refers to the first shot of the first episode of the series.

Why you freak out about this. That was obvious that she get same book that she read at begining.

@Kuro, @Haldo: Okay, I'm glad it wasn't just me.

@Kerrah: I don't know...I wouldn't put that past Faust, especially as the "back where you began" thing is kind of lame without it.

@Inane: Apart from that "Applebloom osteomancer" one, this is pretty much the only "Headcanon" post that I've thoroughly enjoyed so far.

G1 is actually good. The movies and some of the episodes (Penguin Hitler!) are decent adventure stories distinguished by being set in what is clearly a harsh Dungeons & Dragons style world where the Ponies have recently carved out a happy little Shire suitable for a girls' cartoon.

If not for gender bias, nerds would have more nostalgia for it than Transformers. tongue

[up]Mane problem with with first cartoons was fact that kids in there were far worse.

I really don't like the older mlp shows. They seem to be among the 98% of girl cartoons that are nothing more then cash-ins on Little girls obsessions. The charecters were also quite bland, which makes me wonder what old school mlp fanboys are thinking when saying crap like "old mlp ftw! mlp fim sucks ass{pardon my lauguage, I'm just quoting what I've seen}!" or "The charecters from mlp G.3 are better then these stupid fim charecters!" Sure, we wouldn't have fim without the older shows, but it's not like anyone has a time machine to prevent them from existing out of hatred. No, I am not attacking anyone that grew up with any of the older shows, but I am curious as to how someone would like "New born cuties {augh!}" over mlp fim, a show were the creators actullay put effort into making a good series for everyone to enjoy.Sorry if I seem a little rude, but this was something I've been wanting to talk about for awhile now.

One last thing about older mlp. "RAINBOW DASH ALWAYS DRESSES IN STYLE!" That is all.

RAINBOW DASH ALWAYS DRESSES IN STYLE was how we got onto this subject in the first place.

If we reverse everything... Rainbow Dash is the fastest flyer in Equestria, so Firefly always dresses in style?

Hmm... Maybe, but rarity seems to be the one dressing in style these days, though her style is much better then ugly rainbow dash.
