hard to tell, since they all use the same base model. That may have something to do with it: Mrs. Cake is the only one who people know for a fact is older, so they sort of take hold of her.

Hm. I wonder is the Cakes are going to get a foal of their own during the series.

I've seen someone suggest "Angel Cake".

Theoretically, they could also use Lemon, Sponge, or Pineapple Upside-Down.

Betcha if theres going to be criticism, it will be related to Lauren Faust not being in the lead of things anymore.

She's not actually directly involved in the show anymore. The current crew is making Season 2 based at least in part upon her long-term plans for the storyline(s) of the series, which she gave them and discussed with them when she left the crew, but other than that, as I understand it, her involvement is pretty much non-existent. Given what I've seen from Jaysen Theissen and several other people involved in the production of the show, however, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Actually, she is still a consulting producer, she's just not the executive producer. This means that she still has say into what happens, she just doesn't have total control.

Yeah, but from everything I've heard and seen (including from her), while they're working from her ideas and decisions she made previously, she doesn't work on the show anymore. If she were to have a very strong opinion on how a certain thing should or should not be done, I imagine she'd be listened to, but she's pretty much just leaving it up to the current crew, at this point. I wish I could find the sections of her dA in which she elaborated on this (after her initial announcement), but those are mainly just in the comments section, not her journal.
