I would like this computer to be in the basement, and I don't really have anyone to call "friend" so much as "acquaintance". Also spellcheck; as in, I would be dead without it.

And insomnia? Pfft, I'm either up till 5 am, or passing out on my bed at 10 pm before I can even muster the energy to shower.

Life isn't as bad as you think, ol' chap. If you really do think it is though, I recommend taking a literal inventory of your life via making a list, to see exactly where you are and what you need to do. I've done so myself, and it helped me a lot.

If it helps, I'm also in my parents' basement talking about ponies at 10 at night, and I also have no "real life" friends.

So if nothing else, you're not alone.

If it helps, it's gone 3 a.m. here and I'm posting in a thread about a cartoon about ponies aimed at little girls, talking to people I don't know and will never meet, from my parents garage.

Don't worry; we've all freaked out once or twice.

YF is the socially awkward loony bin for all us funny folk; so we can hang out and talk about weird stuff and personal problems. There is something strangely reassuring about being friends with a guy who likes roadsigns and princesses, a thoroughly camp gay person, and a whole slew of other people with interesting mental quirks.
