In FIM-verse, a centaur is just a horse with the upper body of a mythical creature. It's not too unlikely since they already had other mix and match critters like the cockatrice already.

Though humans should be kept away from FIM. It works just fine without them right now. We don't want to degrade F Im to the "quality" of the older shows by brining back unnecesarry elements from it, do we?

I know how Insane Troll Logic that sounds like, but so far the Talking Animal society works. Better keep it that way, eh?

I just wish we could get an IKEA out here cause I heard the meatballs are awesome.

Anywho, bringing this back to ponies, what would be the most awesome parody or shout out they could do on the show? I think it'd be cool if they did a meta documentary thing in the style of Hard Days Night.

A shout out to some anime, like Sailor Moon or something, would be cool.

If they get Weird Al on the show I will love them forever.

The second part of the two episode pilot is practicly one towards the end.

And they never wore those things again.

And I said before that the creators seem to be watching their fanbase, but they just kind of seem internet savvy. I mean, how many shows from the current millenium can you name that used any kind of Yakety Sax kind of music for a whacky chase scene? (Unlike every 5th youtube parody video having it)

I love that there are shout-outs to pop-music (like Photo Finish and Equestrian Girls) waii

Photo Finish needs moar fan rep.

I like her accent and eccentrics. Like the sudden movements when she displays... DA MAJIKS!

I sort of imagine a Johnny Bravo style "whiplash" sound to those kind of movements. [lol]

Johnny Bravo. Now there's a reference worth having.

'Course, one has to wonder how they'd squeeze it in. As funny as it would be to have some obnoxious colt try to hit on one of the girls, it's not the sort of subject matter they're going for, is it?

A reference to stuff that Lauren and/or her husband have been involved with in the past would be kind of cool, I think. And it's not like Pinkie Pie yelling something like 'I like chocolate milk!' would feel out of place anyway.

Wasn't Photo Finish supposed to be Anna Wintour and not Lady Gaga?

Since they seemed to be fond of pastiches of Broadway showtunes, something in the style of A Chorus Line would be awesome. Bonus points for Dance: Ten Looks: Three.

Also, for a real Parental Bonus, a whole plot reference to The Warriors. "Poooonieeees! Come out and plaaa-yay!"

I know this show is centered towards young girls, but... It's just too damn good. ;-;

Oh c'mon, it's not that great.

... Though still pretty good. <.<;;

(shrugs) I like it a lot. Not so much to go all Brony, but still, it's a really good show.

Meh, atleast you haven't gone to the bad end of the fandom. You Don't Want to Know.

My brother browses ponibooru quite openly at my place, that probobly qualifies as a "brony?"

And thankfully, he isn't a perverted weirdo.

I used to do that every morning until they I'd already seen most of the episodes they played. I actually gave up on hanging out with my friends once to see an episode. I'm fairly certain it was the first one, though, if that makes any difference.

Silly Tropers, you don't skip social gatherings for ponies, that's why we've got the internet!

We use that to skip social interaction!

[up][up] Huh?

[up] In my defense, they said they'd pick me up after the episode was over but never did. Apparently all they did was go to a pool party in which several manly lapdances were given, so I somehow I don't really feel like I mised much...

I was referring to the slightly infamous bit I heard of a biased report on bronies stating that they get off work ealry to go home and watch ponies and making a comparison of you sticking home to watch an episode instead of going out with friends to it instead of just watching the episodes on youtube like everyone else does and then I turned it to a joke by flipping the supposed moral of the sentence by saying that we use the internet to avoid social interaction and be reclusive of people.

GASP!

If Mr. and Mrs. Cake are any indication, I don't think ponies have an equivalent of wedding rings.
I took a guess and cut a portion out of my heart.

^ So very true.

What was your opinion on the pilot?
