For some reason I always think of Twilight as a college student.

Hmm, Pinkie kind of strikes me as the youngest, but that's mostly because of how hyper she is. I could buy Twilight as the youngest too, since she's still a student.

Thanks Naney! And yes, Ikiru is hands down my favorite film, which is a pretty incredible feat considering the huge disadvantage that live action has over animation in my book.

Somehow I'd think Fluttershy is the oldest...

Both Fluttershy and Rarity seem self sufficient, really.

And we know that however old Fluttershy is, Pinkie is a year younger.

Fluttershy also seemed more lanky and teenager-y in "The Cutie Mark Chronicles", suggesting she may be the oldest.

I always thought Rarity would be the oldest, but maybe it's just because Fluttershy's meekness makes her seem younger to me. I'm fairly certain that Rarity is also the only one to have her own business, or a job of any sort at all for that matter... Not that we've been given any indication that the ponies need jobs. Has money ever come up in the show at all? I find it hard to believe that a bunch of 20 year olds could afford to live in huge multiple story houses in a universe where it did.

There is indeed currency, and most of the mane cast is endowed with Jobs.

Pinkie does catering work, or helps out at the bakery (or a combination); Fluttershy probably gets paid as a vet; Applejack runs Apple Acres; Rainbow Dash handles the weather; only Twilight seems jobless, unless you consider the fact that she is Celestia's personal assistant.

Fluttershy might also function as a forest ranger or something of that nature.

It's possible she doesn't even need a job, and just has the animals do her bidding.

Yes, let's pretend the animals do her bidding. It's cooler that way.

20% cooler, to be precise.

For some reason I imagined Twilight applying for financial aid.

Even though that doesn't really make sense when you think about.

Clearly Twilight has a secret BDSM dungeon and makes money off of that.

I doubt Celestia would like the idea of her student digging for scraps in the streets, so I'd guess that she gave Twilight a house that had no current residents. Aside from that, maybe she sends Twilight some kind of stipend or pays her for her reports?

[up] I hope you're looking for customers.

I always kinda wondered why there was a library just empty for Twilight to live in. Did Ponyville not have a librarian before that?

Maybe the last one retired, or the library never had one to begin with. They might have just built a library and been like "Find your own damn books, ponies. We have enough people complaining about taxes as it is, there's no way we're staffing this entire place." Come to think of it, that sounds like something the mayor of Ponyville would do.

Well, it finally happened: Sandy cosplaying as Frankie Foster. It was inevitable, I guess, given how similar the two look.

I just saw that FIM will be broadcasted in other countries. To be more precise, I read the following on the FIM wiki:

However, although no defined date was stated, there was an announcement for other television debuts of the show roughly during the summer of 2011 in other countries such as Denmark, the Middle East, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

The lack of "Germany" in that sentence worries me. Sure, the way it's written it kinda implies that it will be shown in other countries, but still...

Eh, it almost seems to nice for Germany. I kid, of course, but from the countries listed there it seems to imply the better part of the more developed European countries, of which Germany is a part. Still, it doesn't always go everywhere when things go over the pond, so you never know.

I sure hope that it comes here. I mean, when we have MLP magazines with crappy comics in FIM style here, it's downright teasing with no promise of a German broadcast. But the very existence of these magazines may be a good sign.

This is true. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to ship merchandise and not send the show that's meant to actually sell the merchandise.
