Blech. First fanart I looked at and went "I actively dislike it." It's all so same-y and pandering and barely resembles the source material and sometimes I wonder just how those spines are supposed to work.

@Kegi, It's so...... okay.... That's the problem it just feels.... Okay. Also, it sort of bugs me how similar the poses and heads are, actually, is it me or is the only difference King Cheetah makes in heads in whether or not it's facing left or right? Otherwise it's the same 3/4 turn with the eyes looking in the opposite direction. And then there's his universe's rampant the anorexia epidemic.

@Mousa I wouldn't mind King Cheetah's style as much if the anthros didn't have abnormal proportions. I kind of like how he uses a traditional cartoon style for the faces.

All valid crticisms.

I'd be hard pressed to give a real reason why I like it, beyond, I suppose, "It's odd". It has this sort of bizarre, ungrounded absurdity I just love to look at. I mean there's also that from a technical standpoint it's quite good - strong lines, dynamic poses, etc. - but it's simply the sheer oddness that draws me in. I don't really see the pictures, so much as stare at them.

Oh, Also, I think I have a job? A contracting company offered me an on-call position and I accepted, and they said that they'd give me a call when they had work. I don't know if I'll need to do an interview there, or if I just go in and work though. So I've kinda got no idea what the hell is going on, but I THINK I have a job...

(On an off-topic note, I think I want to recycle this "Surprise gets replaced by a changeling" idea in my fanfic. Seems like it has potential)

And yes I agree it is odd, and actually you are right it's all technically great, goo lines, shading, poses aren't all that off, and even the faces have a nice cartoonyness to them.
