@Applelight: Changes seem to be making it more like the old second edition (though not quiet as crazy). I'm a little bummed that GW doesn't seem to want to make the game more competitively challenged, but I do like the rules so far.

I'm too happy to think straight atm...because under the new rules, the IG are seriously powerful.

I take it you don't play melta vets in chimeras like all the competitive IG players.

For years!....we were the punching bags of this setting! Then we got our new Codex, and the playing feild was leveled. Now...now we will regin supreme!

Exactamundo my dear Kegi, though the fact Iron was insane didn't help matters in the slightest and probably took things further than necessary , but essentially he was getting his just desserts and became better for it.

That's fair enough.

It's actually a point my reviewer agreed on - he enjoyed watching Blueblood suffer because for the most part it was self-inflicted. He did mention That Blueblood accepting slavery made him really uncomfortable, but I think that's because that's the point where Blueblood is no longer actively making things worse for himself, so it reads as genuine misfortune. Plus the sheer unpleasantness of it all.

Hey Mousa, glad to hear you're doing okay. I got Kid Icarus: Uprising for my birthday, so I haven't been around as much as I usually am. Also work.

Is 40k that unbalanced of a game that your matchups mean more for whether you win or lose than your strategy? I'm sure that's not the case, but that's what you're making it sound like.

It's quite good, but you have to be careful not to spend too much money. They make it very easy and tempting to do so.

I thought Blueblood accepting slavery made perfect sense, no discomfort there, just wondering when he'd get his spirits back. I mean he just realized he was a dispicable pony and doesn't want to be and is a position to help another without taking anything back and receiving all the insufferability he once dished out. It's harsh and a bit dramatic but we're out own worst critics.

@Lurker: They kind of do. In many ways 40k is the SSBB of miniature wargames.

@mousa: Indeed. Well, roughly. A hefty part of it was him simply trying to run away, of course; he didn't genuinely want to improve until the idea of changing his identity was completely shaken from him.I'm fairly certain that's the part that made my reviewer wary, Was how he effectively dived headlong into not being a pony so much as an object in an attempt to run away.

Also, I think I actually managed to convince Ginger to read TCYB! So that should be interesting. He's mostly in it for the promise of the villain in the sequel, when/if I get around to writing that. But I managed to spin Iron and Letter into something he liked.
