Eh, I dabble in enough things already. I'd much rather focus on one or two things that I'm actually good at/have prior experience in, which in my case would be either writing (which I'm doing a lot of) or music, which I've been intending to get back to for like a year now.

Also, Candance hasn't quite grasped the whole TMI idea

I tried to learn PHP, but I just cant do it. My brain doesnt register it as a language and my eyes just cross.

I learned basic way back in the day though. That at least had real words in it.

I've learned that the more useful a skill is in every day life, the less motivation I have to learn it.

I did learn how to program games on my TI-83 in junior high school, but never went anywhere after that. I kind of lost interest in it after a "friend" deleted a game I'd spent several days making.

I tried learning programming, it didn't stick. I think I'll stick to folklore with it's character archetypes and mass hysteria, please and thank you. Though I don't necessarily subscribe to the idea of the monomyth.

Same here. Programming just doesn't capture my interest enough for me to teach myself.

PHP is literally the worst language in common use. You should learn Python. Actually, everyone should learn Python.
