Good morning everyone.

You know something I noticed? Besides the ovbious fact that Ponyvile Confidential and Cutie Mark Chronicles are CMC episodes {Though the latter was only in part}, they were both apparently written by the same person {Can't remember her name though}. Why is this odd? Because I happen to hate/severly dislike both episodes {Not saying why I dislike Ponyvile Confidential though}.

M.A Larson is a he, and he also wrote Sonic Rainboom, both Return of Harmony episodes, and It's About Time, so I think it evens out.

Honestly, I haven't been able to pin down any specific traits to any particular writers. For the most part, they know what they're writing, and how to make it fit, and Depending on the Writer more or less never applies. The fact that Episode X was written by Writer Y is irrelevant to me.

} or anything, I just find it ironic that he wrote both my least favorite episodes.

I don't think anyone has necessarily gone in depth about the quirks of different writers. We do know Meghan Mc Carthy likes the crazy,

and M.A. Larson writes quite a few 'event' episodes.

I started really noticing writers in s2. After Luna Eclipsed. I just looked at my (at that time) favorite epsiodes and most of them where written my Larson.

Before that I mostly remembered Polsky (for all that fandom butthurt) and Mc Carthy (for her crazy Pinkiea nd later Twilght)

Again though, what style is there to analyze? Do any of the episodes not feel like a normal episode of the show? And if they do, are they even consistently by the same writers? I honestly don't think that there are.

I did notice that M.A Larson also worked on some of the most important Symbionic Titan episodes as well, so maybe there's a trend here.

@Lurker: Well, I guess that's what editors are for, to maintain a consistent tone. It's nothing major really. I'm just thinking minor quirks. Dave Polsky had a bit more slapstick to his episodes, for example.

I say it's worth looking into, people can definitely see consistent themes and styles when comparing say Steven Moffat Episodes from Mark Ghatiss episodes in Doctor Who.
