@Mousa: I shall impart some meagre survival skills I absorbed by literate-osmosis:

• Containers. Buckets, waterproof helmets, tubs, barrels. Use them to collect water.
• Condensation. If the environment temperature fluctuates desert-style, use a sloped waxed rooflike structure to collect condensing morning dew.
• Boiling/Purification. Use purifier tablets, cleansing filters, and boil water to make it potable. If near the sea, boiling water to collect the steam via condensation leaves sea salt - sell this to health food junkies.

I am with Lurker and AHR on this one, it wouldn't hurt to wait a bit.

@Syd, I want to get out, I need to get out, but I still need work and I'm getting zero callbacks. If I'm not out of here by the time The Dark Knight comes out I'll quit in bad terms, and I can't have that on my resume.

@Ace, I'm fully aware of those methods, but I'm not the one with the water problem, my workplace is, as is with the entire mall. My home is fine. Though it still meant standing in a hot kitchen slaving over popcorn for six hours without a drink or bathroom break.

Mousa you could always be vague about the reason you are leaving and give 2 weeks notice. That should be a clean mark on your resume.

@Mousa: That sucks. Hopefully power will go back up soon. Until then I guess your only recourse is to tote around a bunch of bottled water so you don't get dehydrated.

@The Ginger Situation: Yeah, I'm with AHR and Lurker on this one. I honestly can't say that I find his ban all that unfair; even in this thread he probably got away with a lot more raging than he should have. Just because we happen to like him are used to his quirks doesn't mean that it's fair for everyone else to put up with it. At the very least, there needs to be something of a cooldown period. Even, then I can't see it working. A lot of us have pmed mods already, and even after that we have word of mod from several sources that the ban won't be overturned. I fully agree that the thread won't be the same without him, but at the same time it's not like the thread is going to die either; just slow down a bit.

Anthology II is out.

And if I will can find work in two weeks? I can't, I won't until I have something definite lined up. I refuse to have a wilderness period just because I can't stand where I am.
