Yeah, my view of that fic ( and shipping in general) is basically "what would it look like if these two got together and stayed in character".

JT is really good. You should read his fics. We don't even have the same ships (well, maybe we share a couple that I can't remember right now) and I can tell that his fic is really good.

Doing it that way is the only way worth doing it, unless you're just going for crack comedy.

My fanfic will include a bit of a ship in that one of the characters will discuss his wife in a way that makes it completely obvious who she is, but she doesn't actually show up and it isn't really important. I'm just doing it out of convenience.

I had this awesome dream... where I found all these turtles in my yard... and I decided to keep one but had a hard time picking.

I eventually settled on this one that had a pigment deficiency that made its skin yellow instead of brown, and it had yellow markings on its shell. I was going to build a pen for it in the yard...

Then I woke up and was sad...

I'm back!

What I miss?

I sure like some of the entries made on The Scrappy in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Check these out:

• The stuck up, lying, Rich Bitch and Alpha Bitch Diamond Tiara is GREATLY hated within the fandom. Especially in "Ponyville Confidential" where she forces the Cutie Mark Crusaders to continue their gossip column with no regard for their feelings or the feelings of the REST of the city. Many, many people wanted her dead.
• Prince Blueblood & Gilda. To be fair, the writers want you to dislike them, but many fans wanted to dismember them after what they did in their respective appearances.
• Owlowiscious is a better example of a character that is unintentionally disliked by a handful of the fandom.
• When Princess Cadance was first revealed to be an upcoming toy, there was a lot of hate for her mostly because she was a pink alicorn. Fortunately her proper appearance in the show seems to have won fans over, in part to her wonderful singing voice and the finale being all around well liked, even if her status as a Winged Unicorn isn't really addressed.
• After his behavior in "Putting Your Hoof Down" Angel launched himself squarely into this territory.
  • Although he has been redeemed in "Hurricane Fluttershy" for comforting and helping an upset Fluttershy.
• Another scrappy from "Putting Your Hoof Down" is Boxxy Brown, the cherry salescolt, who took advantage of Fluttershy's desperation to try to extort huge amounts of money from her, only to rub it in her face when somepony else bought his last cherry. Making things worse, as far as we know he didn't get a well-deserved taste of "New Fluttershy's" wrath
• Many people did not like Tori Spelling hosting the premiere of 'A Canterlot Wedding - Part 1' and 'A Canterlot Wedding - Part 2'.

Has anypony written a Revenge Fic on any of these characters? I think Diamond Tiara really crossed the Moral Event Horizon in "Ponyville Confidential".

I don't really have a beef with Cadance, Owliscious, Angel (Depending on the Writer is a key factor with that rabbit), or Tori Spelling (I don't think I even noticed that character!).

Prince Blueblood was totally an unmitigated Jerkass.

Gilda is a thug, and a G-rated Revy from Black Lagoon (why, I can picture Revy kicking Fluttershy around and laughing her head off!).

Boxxy Brown needs a RF where Fluttershy, with help from her friends, track him down at the market, hold him down, stuff his mouth full of bits, and Fluttershy gives him a combination of the stare and "The Reason You Suck" Speech, and publically humiliated him!

I think I saw a picture somewhere with Gilda dressed as Revy.

Edit: Holy shit! Gilda and Revy have the same voice actress?

I really don't think any of those characters are Scrappy (even Gilda or Blueblood), there is no that much negative attention from fandom.

Since Darkhorse page was reduced maybe same should be done with Scrappy?

Well, I didn't like Ponyvile Confidential anyway, so I don't really hold that episode against Diamond Tira, or anyone else for that matter.

I started to like Tiara after PC. She finally become interesting jerk.

I don't think any of those characters are disliked widely enoght to count. Sure they have hatedoms but there are so many fans that every character probably does.

@Tigger: Ah, well, that depends on your definition of 'revenge' fic. for examle in a story I wrote, The Colour You Bleed, Blueblood is, within the first five chapters, Kidnapped, beaten by his bodygaurd, has his horn cut off(And therefor loses his ability to do magic), digs his way through a wooden door landing him an infected hoof, is tossed into a river twice, mugged, starved, arrested for stealing an apple, sold into slavery and finally has his mental state so thorough broken he goes catatonic for almost a week. He spends the rest of the fic with severe PTSD, to the degree where he suffers flashbacks from something as minor as seeing a suit of armour, and his sense of self-worth is so shattered for a good two or three chapters afterwords that he completely rejects his old persona as Prince Blueblood. However the fic as a whole does not focus on taking revenge, but rather on his personal growth.

Also, watched the whole way through that accent video a few pages back... what, no canadian? Not even a maratime accent?
