POST IT ANYWAY.
CATEGORIZED BY SYSTEM.
I'll try. Sorry if you guys suddenly wonder why there's a HUGE HONKIN' LIST OF GAME TITLES right here in the middle of a Pony thread.
EDIT: Actually if someone could tell me how to make each category collapsible, that would be nice...
Arcades
Listing this first not just because of alphabet but because arcades were a recurring thing until just recently. Note I'm including games I've only played via emulation. This is the only category I'm doing that for.
1943 The Battle of Midway (played a real machine, inspired my dad to buy me the NES version)
Battletoads
Burgertime
Double Dragon (same story as with 1943)
Fatal Fury 1, 2, Special, and 3
Mortal Kombat 1-3 (
MK 1 I've played the actual machine)
Pig Out (silly game where you're pigs who run around eating food. Was actually a decent co-op game)
Pitfall the Lost Caverns
Samurai Shodown (I'm pretty sure I've played this, anyway)
Shinobi (real machine)
Street Fighter II (basically every version, Champion Edition I've played on an actual machine)
World Heroes 1 and/or 2 (real machine)
X-Multiply (the best shooter EVER)
PC
Again like arcades, listing this upfront because recurring thing.
Bard's Tale (the original, never got to its sequels)
Commander Keen (all of them, yeah including the Dreams one)
Duke Nukem 1, 2, and 3D (yeah there were Duke games before 3D)
Doom (can't believe I almost forgot to mention this...)
Dot Emu's Irem Arcade Hits package
The Elder Scrolls: Arena
The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall (heck yeah!)
Half-Life 1
Heretic and Hexen
Jill of the Jungle
The Journeyman Project Turbo
King's Quest 1-7
Lemmings
Last Half of Darkness
Laura Bow: the Colonel's Bequest (tried to play its sequel too but it was just dreadfully boring)
Might and Magic series (the early ones, and I never got into the
Heroes of... spinoff)
Monster Bash
Outpost 1 and 2
Police Quest 1 and 2
Pool of Radiance and its sequels and spinoffs (the old one, not that Ruins of Myth Drannor garbage)
Prince of Persia 1 and 2
Quake (for awhile)
Quest for Glory 1 and 2
Rise of the Triad
Space Quest 1-6
System Shock 1 (I played 2 but... its one of the most overrated games ever IMO. First one is
awesome)
Ultima series (almost all of them)
Warcraft I and II (... are still the best RTS games ever, IMO)
Weird Dreams
Wolfenstein 3d
Wizardry (the early ones mostly)
Xargon
Zork (almost the entire series)
I'm sure I'm leaving out a lot here. I remember some volleyball game with globes, a lot more platformers by Apogee and/or Epic Megagames, a 3D first-person version of Pac-Man, and a lot of others. But as I said, I've had a comp for a LOOOONG time so I can't remember every game that made me squee.
Odyssey 2
I was a REALLY small kid when I had this system. Had about ten games, but the only title I can clearly recall is "Monkey Shines" and I don't think it was one of my favorites.
Atari 2600
Same deal as with the Oddysey 2, except here I had about fity games (all inherited from my parents basically). Titles I recall are:
Big Bird's Egg Catch
Haunted House
Human Cannonball
Keystone Capers
Pitfall
Pole Position
Stampede
Star... raiders, I think
Star Wars: the Arcade Game
And my brain hurts now, so lets move on to the next console:
NES
1943 the Battle of Midway
Batman the Video Game (except for those stupid jumping devil things in level 3,
fuck those)
Blaster Master
Bionic Commando
Bubble Bobble
California Games (... liked it when I was a kid, anyway)
Contra
Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers
Deja Vu
Destination Earthstar
Dig Dug II: Trouble in Paradise
Dragon Spirit
Double Dragon 1, 2, and 3
Dr Mario
Dragon Warrior 1 and 2 (have 3 but not gotten far in it yet)
Ducktales
Final Fantasy
Gargoyle's Quest II
Ghost Lion (aka Legend of the Ghost Lion)
Hydlide (screw the critics, its not that bad)
Legend of Zelda (both of them)
Marble Madness
Mega Man (all of them)
Metroid
Ninja Gaiden (the whole trilogy)
Nobunaga's Ambition 2 (didn't like the first as much)
Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Shadowgate (gotta love that mirror covering a black hole...)
Star Tropics (both of them. MAGIC YOYO FOREVER!!!)
Super C
Super Mario Bros 1, 2, and 3 (come on who
didn't enjoy those?)
Taboo: the Sixth Sense
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (all of them, yeah even the first one)
Tetris
Tiny Toon Adventures 2
Totally Rad (... don't let the name fool you, its good)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (screw AVGN, I thought this was a decent game)
Sega Genesis
Aero the Acrobat
Bubsy (again, heck with the critics)
Castlevania Bloodlines
Contra Hard Corps
Crusader of Centy
Ecco the Dolphin - both of them
Landstalker
Rocket Knight Adventures
Shining Force I and II
Splatterhouse 2
Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition (my favorite console port until the Saturn and
PS2 versions)
Sonic the Hedgehog (just, all of them. Including Spinball)
Thunder Force II, III, and IV
Valis III
Sega CD
Hook
Lunar I and II
Prince of Persia
Sonic CD
Turbografx 16
Bonk's Adventure
Gate of Thunder
Military Madness
Splatterhouse
Ys (all four of them)
SNES
Actraiser
Aero the Acrobat 2
Animaniacs (weirdly enough...)
Brain Lord
Chrono Trigger
Demon's Crest
Dragon Ball Z Super Butoden 1-3 (favoring the latter two)
Earthbound
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy VI
Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past
Lagoon
Lufia and the Fortress of Doom
Pac-Man 2 The New Adventures (one of the most underrated games ever)
Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle
Secret of Mana
Sim City (for awhile, nowadays I turn it on just for the title screen music)
Soul Blazer
Super Bomberman
Super Ghouls n' Ghosts
Super Mario Kart
Super Mario World
Super Metroid
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Time
Playstation 1
Dino Crisis
Fatal Fury Wild Ambition
King's Field (whole damn series)
Lunar Silver Star Story
R-Types
R-Type Delta
Resident Evil 1 (Director's Cut), 2, 3
and Survivor
Playstation 2
Art of Fighting Anthology
Capcom Classics Collection (both of them)
Devil May Cry 1, 2, 3
Fatal Fury Battle Archives (both of them)
Metal Gear Solid, the whole trilogy...
... Can I stop now? My brain is saying "please, stop title-searching me and just go play already!" Please master Crowlover, please please please?
