Anyway, in regards to that creative writing project I keep bringing up that no one but Death Cloud cares about , I'm up to 6 pages. To recap: it's an urban fantasy setting where elves, orcs, goblins and other supposedly mythical high fantasy creatures exist and walk among man freely, yet in disguise. They used to exist in harmony with us, then something bad happened. (Still trying to decide exactly what)

Right now, it's mostly background stuff, filling in a universe, trying stuff and seeing what sticks.

I've already created my secretive supernatural investigation and policing organization, gave it a loose origin story and a bitching floating headquarters in a dimensional void. (I've pretty much decided what facilities go where at this point.)

I've also defined a few important characters and subgroups, and came up with a Masquerade system for supernatural creatures that hopefully isn't complete and utter nonsense.

It currently reads like a cross between an employee manual and a Wikipedia entry.

@Ed: Sounds interesting, I don't think I'd heard about that before. And now I'm tempted to stay up an hour later than I should to work on my original work...

I actually have an idea for how a movie might work. I know I know, cart before horse and whatnot. This is the first time I've ever put it down on paper before.
