This tread is not place for butthurt of people liking Barney.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.

Yeah, what's wrong with someone liking Barney?
He has this really unique combination of whiny bitch and total psycho that makes him really easy to hate.

doesn't matter, you have no cuase to say someone is wrong for liking something you don't.
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
My random thoughts
Hey does anyone think Lyra would like other types of appendages, like tentacles or a trunk?

A. There is nothing good about the show. Acting, scripting, execution, all terrible.
B. The back of the tapes say it's for ages 1-8. If a show has to set a limited range and still people over that age watch it, then you know something's wrong. C. The fact that people try to find something that's either heartwarming or funny in a mere toddler's show made with no thought put into it.

Lyra would love it if she had tentacles as she'd be able to get extra naughty with Bonbon

Gully Foyle is my name,
and Terra is my nation.
Deep space is my dwelling place,
and death's my destination.
@x86x The correct response here is to simply ignore it. It's easy, really, considering how low-key the thing that's bothering you is.
I never got the appeal of Barney. Give me Mr. Roger's Neighborhood or Shining Time Station any day. Of course, this is viewing both those things through years of nostalgia, so take that as you will.

Is this the same one as before, or a new one? There have already been several of those linked here.

Well, I don't know if it's bad luck or anything, but it seems to keep coming up more frequently ever since MLP became big.

It was able to hold my attention for long periods of time when I was really young. It's perfect for its target audience, and nothing more.

Ah, yes, that it may have, but the fact that these people in their teens and even 20s from what I've seen still find interest just makes me lose faith in humanity.

OTP story/whatshisgame.
I was wondering when someone would make that reference.

At least MLP has Tara Strong, Rob Renzetti, a bunch of Spongebob (still tolerable in comparison) writers and even John De Lancie. Barney......nothing.

I'd pick Sesame Street over Barney any day if I was going to plunk my theoretical kids in front of a Television show.
If you have to ask, you'll never know...

Out of curiosity, what do you guys think about Featherweight, that photographer pony from "Ponyville Confidential"?
I think he would make a good ponification of Cody Hackins.

Yeah. I definitely wouldn't hate humanity so much if every overage Barney fan was replaced by fans of either Sesame Street, Arthur, Magic School Bus and Bill Nye.

@x: Look, I'm not saying it's good, I'm just saying that getting angry over people liking it is just dumb, and that there probably are quite a few people who do like it.
