Korra came in after the fight was already done. I'd call that winning against Bolin and Mako, then losing against Korra. It's still one victory under his belt.

It seems his modus operandi is "formidable badass who gets the upper hand once in the fight and then gets his ass handed to him quickly afterwards. So not really a formidable badass."

Am I the only one annoyed that Bolin didn't get a good introduction? Or rather, annoyed that Mako got one when he didn't?

They still manage to be reasonably effective at times. I mean, they manage to handily trounce everyone but the MC's, and get more than a few good shots in on them anyways.

Hm... not sure if I want to watch it or not... only two days until the finale, I can wait.

I think that the chi blockers are still pretty formidable. Remember when Korra went on her first mission with Tarrlok's task force and she barely managed to beat one and had to be rescued from the second? They're still pretty formidable, but I think it may be more a Conservation of Ninjutsu problem than any form of competence issue.

Basically, the Pegasus Enclave (in the original fic, they're a lot better in Project Horizons) are pathetic because they lacked menace, and they were coming right off the heels of two excellent villains who did and stole their thunder
