My headcanon for Weird Al is that he's Pinkie's uncle, a parasprite exterminator. He travels from town to town, using his accordian to drive out the parasprites. That's how Pinkie knows what to do.

Also, I just rewatched Putting Your Hoof Down. For some reason, I'm inclined to think Iron Will had some valid lessons, and Fluttershy just misapplied them.
