Yeah, I noticed how Octavia seems to hold the bow in playing the cello, or whatever you might call her stringed instrument.

I admit that it does seem weird for an animal with hooves to "hold" an object like a bow. I try to listen to the philosophy of not thinking too hard about such details.

On the other hand, details like that run on Rule Of Cool...and it might be one of the reasons fans latch on to a character like her!

This is indeed how it works in my fic. Though the basis is gravity, not magnetism and it implies that more advanced gravity control is possible.
