congratulations Ginger, that's absolutely horrifying.
I analyze "Geek Culture" here.
When All Else Fails, worry, that's the 14 way.
Owie!

"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
@crow (Shudder)
Or Pinocchio and the Emperor Of the Night (doubly shivers)

@ginger: Ugh, I hate transformations like that. Body Horror in general in general is one of the most effective horror techniques as far as I'm concerned.
@ginger What happened in Emperor of the Night?
@Crow You must have loved
The Fly
Still want a fic like that with Twi turning into a Dragon and Spike into a pony
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
@crow There's a horrific scene where the villain slowly turns Pinocchio back into a puppet (before ultimately making him lifeless again)
It plays like a fucking rape scene (shudder)

Never seen The Fly actually, though I'm sure I'd be pretty creeped out by it.
The remake is just unbridled body horror. Though eventually, he accepts and starts gleefully studying what's happening to him for a while.
I could picture Twi doing that
... only for a while though, cuz after that he kinda goes insane and starts saying: "I wanna merge you me and our unborn baby into one creature. It'll be more human than I am alone"

What's Adagio for Strings and why do I feel like I'm gonna feel stupid for not knowing already?

Oooh, the Cronenberg remake of The Fly is fantastic! And horrifying. I love Seth Brundle's transformation, it's so unnerving.

Gully Foyle is my name,
and Terra is my nation.
Deep space is my dwelling place,
and death's my destination.
Famous piece of music. You'll probably recognize it when you hear it, but I didn't know it by name either.
@JT Thanks.
Blackjack in Project Horizons uses Octavia's
instrument (I'm not gonna fall into THAT bear trap) to play Adagio For Strings during a character's funeral.
I just didn't know what it was

@Drenius He goes through the 5 stages of dying

(not sure what it's official name is)

Do you mean the five stages of loss and grief, Ginger?
Gully Foyle is my name,
and Terra is my nation.

@Drenius That's the one.
I always loved the way he went through them
