Why is it that I'm always late to the party when it comes to fanon-becoming-canon? First Derpy, and now "Vinyl Scratch" is canon?◊

@Kegi - Ive taken days off for the Electric company guys to come and install a new thermostat in my house and they have failed to show up. I finally told them to forget It Ill just live with the crappy non-programmable one I have.

It sucks losing a vacation day to their BS , and not being able to get any form of compensation for it.

And not sure if Canadian law has this, but here where I live if something isnt right with your apartment and your landlord is slow to comply, you put the rent money in an Escrow account and they dont get it till shit's fixed.

Heh. Last night I went to a chinese restaurant for dinner, and I got a fortune cookie afterwords - the fortune said "your talents will be recognized and suitably rewarded". All I could think was, "Fantastic, does this mean someone will fucking hire me soon?"

Huh... I'll have to look into that. I'm already unhappy with how she wants the rent; I was told we couldd give her postdated checks, so I had to order some, and afterwords she told us she wanted it in cash. So now I've spent money on checks for no reason, AND I need to make sure she's going to be giving me a receipt for it.

@What I don't think it counts for a different spelling if the umlaut is only there to parody the Spinal Tap logo. It's pretty obvious what the intention is there.

Unless she actually is German, or the pony equivalent thereof.

Ponies don't strike me as likely to invent the Heävy Mëtal Ümlaut particularly not for an electronic artist, so I'm actually inclined to think that's how her name really is spelt.

Right; it's already been spelled as just "Vinyl Scratch" on WeLoveFine's website. Funny how both of her names ended up falling under Spell My Name with an S, though.

@Kegi Except that an umlaut over a non-vowel is more or less meaningless in all but certain phonetic spellings of Native American languages. In fact, that's why Spinal Tap had it that way to begin with. The umlaut was meaningless, making it the epitome of the superfluous Heävy Mëtal Ümlaut.

I dunno, but I hope my TRU is prepared for my wrath if they dont have the new MLP stuff. I went in there the other day and they had nothing (as usual)... but they did have the 12 set of unblind-blind bag figures, so I got those since the fluttershy I got out of the blind bags has a mangled ear and messed up paint job.

That and Coconut Cream rocks...

When I think about The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, I think about how some of the music could actually fit right in with MLP: FIM.

1. Groose's theme would fit with the Sports Pegasi. Then again, Groose's theme goes with everything, as one meme says.
2. Ghirahim's theme (when not fighting and fighting him) could fit with Discord.
3. Spike turning huge and ponies trying to stop him could have The Imprisoned boss theme(s) playing.

Well, the Facebook page referred to her as DJ-PON3 (or DJ-PON-3, I forget), so that's the most likely name. Vinyl Scratch is a definite possibility now, though.

DJ Pon-3, actually. Before that, the most official spelling was The Hub's DJ Pon3.

EDIT: It'd be cool if they could work both names in (and finally make the "real name Vinyl Scratch, Stage Name DJ Pon-3" thing official), but I wouldn't be surprised if they go with just one of the two.
