I stand corrected. I can't stand IE though.

Pagetopper, with thanks to Ace:

Now I feel like a chump for using Internet Explorer.

I feel like I've walked into this same exact subject somewhere before...

I don't get it, neither XKCD nor Girl Genius have updated. Is it international don't-update-your-webcomic-d—wait a minute. It's not Monday is it?

It's 0141 Wednesday post-midnight here in GMT+8 land.

Speaking of the time, catch y'all later, the bed beckons for me to enter the Dreamscape. Hope I find the Knife power tonight.

[up] It is but a dimension like Space and can be explored and navigated if you know the trick.

Anybody know what the best free RPG making program out there is?

[down] When you were a kid? Hell! That's a perfectly workable theory even today.

Night, Ace.

When I was a kid I thought Australians were from the future. So if any disasters happened, they could warn the rest of the world.

@Crow: Actually space is the third dimension. The first two are I think existence and shape?

[up]Naw, it just seems that way because all the Australium deposits give them a much higher average intelligence, so their tech is way ahead of the curve.

Actually, the explanation is that Australium allows them to have advanced technology despite being complete testosterone-overdosed idiots.

#221862
Well, I kinda figured that had to do with increased intellect; act like an idiot but still be brilliant.

Or I guess that's just Savant-ism?

I don't know, I stopped paying attention to TF 2 a couple years back; they had just stated australium gave them advanced tech at that point.

The fact that TF 2 has managed to develop an official, relatively complex canon years after the game was released that somehow managed to be even sillier than the games original concept is a feat unto itself.

I still keep Internet Explorer around as a back-up for pony Livestream. Firefox will occasionally crash out my flash plugin, which is rage inducing when I'm trying to catch an episode when it airs. So I usually keep an IE window open with either the same or an alternate stream just in case Firefox decides to fail me. I'd use Chrome, but IE is right there without me having to do anything and I like Firefox too much to switch my main browser.

I suppose that's what happens when you decide to keep an eye on it and update it with special events. I'm fairly certain a large chunk of what happens with TF 2 can be attributed to "We got bored".

The fact that TF 2 has canon despite being an exclusively multiplayer game (which don't tend to be known for spellbinding plots) is impressive.

I'd probably play it if my PC didn't suck more eggs than a farmer with a disturbing fetish.

TF 2 runs on Rule of Funny.

It's also occurred to me that Team Fortress 2 and Portal 2 have more or less the exact same style of humor.

Most of it is actually more along the lines of "How can we justify getting this silly/odd weapon/hat/concept in game?" See: Gunslinger, the Christmas items, medieval mode, fighting a giant floating eyeball...

I use Internet explorer, to download Firefox and Chrome. It has a use.

Also, I've done it, my mad quest is complete, I have successfully written an amalgam version of the four chord song using approximately 60 song parts. All I have to do is type it, demo it, and somehow convince talented people to sing it! Ear your heart out Four Chords of Time!

Let's see...

a mix of patent absurdity, idiocy and humour so black you can use it to wake you up in the morning?

Yeah, that's about right, actually. I guess that's sort of Valve's trademark, though. the Left 4 Dead series has a bit of the same, though the absurdity gives more or less equal billing to snark.

Because why would we want to shoot a baby.

To be honest I miss the giant eyeball, those were fun fights.
