Tabitha tought she was voicing a male pony when she recorded Derpy's lines.

and it was mostly a context issue, bronies knew all about derpy, her quirks, her awesomeness, that she was just a bit clumsy. but non-bronies ONLY had that one clip and yeah, I can see how they can misinterpret that without the context.

@Ginger:I wasn't sure if you liked it because of the villains though. They kind of flip-flopped back and forth from being badass and competent to being useless idiots. The queen at least did get some really cool moments though.

Surprise ate Moe, then Mousa, and L Mage ate ginger.

@Blue I considered them pretty much the only interesting characters. It felt like the director put more effort into them than anyone else

"I don't really watch Glee, I think it promotes the unfair stereotype that gay people make horrible television shows" for some reason I love that quote (even though I know he's just joking)

It's probably best if I don't say much of anything about the Derpy issue, because I know I'll say something that your all gonna get after me for. All I can say for now is that the drama sucks.-_-

@Ginger:They certainly had more visual flair and dramatic setup than the heroes. I do think the Huntsman was a good character. William seemed interesting but they never developed him. I'm not really complaining though, the fast-moving plot was one of the movies strong points.

Anyway, I'm gonna play some Starcraft.

The name "Derpy Hooves" is still All There in the Script, since they haven't stopped selling licensed merchandise that calls her by name (most prominently this shirt) and the files like these weren't renamed.

EDIT: Oh yeah, late goodnights to Freeman & Drenius.

Okay, I'm clean now. Surprise had some weird bet with Rainbow Dash or something, I don't get it.

And I've honestly never seen an episode of Glee. I doubt I'm ever going to.

I can certainly say i've seen too much of glee, I started watching it and it's soap operatic ste sucked me in for a season and a half before I realized "Dear god, this is a load of bull, one piece of eye candy ain't worth this vapid nonsense!"

@Mage It was just a joke. He was just bashing the show.

Though Todd does seem to genuinely hate Glee.

I think his words were "What if you take soemthing as thoughtless and as sanitized and as cheap as High School Musical, then added a layer of smug, arrogant self-awareness to it? Well, then you'd get something like Glee"

Again, I don't agree, I can't fairly critique the show having never watched it

I had the impression that people mostly watched it for the songs. And I can find the songs on Youtube. Probably.

Yeah, I can't speak for the quality of the show, but I can safely say from what I know of it that it falls so far outside of my area of interest that I can't imagine myself liking it. It's too soap opera-ish, I've never liked any high school drama show very much, and the whole "glee club" style of the covers just irks me a bit because it drains a lot of the original style out of the songs. Given that the songs are the main draw of the show, that would pretty much kill it for me.

I can sorta understand their wariness to the word 'derp', since it was created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker of all people for scenes such as this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxYA6duF-9E

http://www.myspace.com/video/mambo/mr-derp/7186744

Seems to be something of a phrase they made for silly cliche humor. Not that it puts much against Derpy to me though, her antics go right to the funny bone.

I rather take it on a case-by-case basis. Sometimes the new style changes the way the song sounds and makes it something unique. Not necessarily better or worse, but different.

Depends on the song, though.
