Hippogriffs would indeed be awesome. We already have mules, so while hippogriffs are a bit more extreme, hybrids aren't entirely out of the question.

In traditional mythology, a hippogriff is a cross between a griffin and a horse.

@Ace: I'm doing fine.

@Purple: I would say hippogriffs are more similar to ponies that griffons since the majority of their body is a pony, unless you count their wings as part of the bird portion.
