@ginger: I understand your woes. I haven't seen enough of the original show to give a full opinion of Optimus himself. I do however despise bland heroes. If the villains have all the charisma and sympathetic personality traits then I end up rooting for them, karma or not.

I will admit I maybe exagerrated AJ a little though. She's not totally bland in S2, I just wished she had more memorable character moments rather than just being in the background half the time.

Also, at least now I know it works. I still wasn't sure if it would cause destructive sound-waves or turn people into ostriches.

I've been having excruciating diabetes-related foot pain off-and-on for over a week now. I drank five nips of whiskey just to dull the pain and get some sleep. Is this what my mom went through for over 20 years?

@ginger There's at least one new mastermind in Round 4. The heroes are currently on top and aren't in as bad of a spot as they were in Round 3. Not sure, but I'm anticipating a change in that, though.
