I always thought Twi was like 8 when she got her mark. and she's like 20 now. Which would make Spike 12ish

I would say most ponies get their cutie marks at 11 or 12. It is a puberty metaphor, after all.

@Seraph Yeah, maybe Spike would assume that Pony school would be a breeze given that he grew up with a genius like Twi. Then he finds out that it's lot harder than he anticipated.

It depends when Twilight got her Cutie Mark. Assuming she got it at 13 and she's in her early twenties that would make Spike about 10.

Twi looked a lot younger than 13 in her flashback in Cutie Mark Chronicles.

Ok, again we're assuming that pony biological/emotional/mental ages all synch up the way human ones do, pretty sure there was an early Word Of God that they didn't, saying a ponies emotional maturity wasn't as closely tied to there biological age as it is with humans.

it's also assuming they age at the same rate as us as well.

Yeah, we KNOW she is older then Pinkie, and seems to be the oldest. With Rarity and AJ next And either Pinkie or RD are the youngest. Twi could be anywhere in between.

I think Twilight is the youngest. She's still a student.

Rarity is the only one that comes across as an adult. The others seem to act like teenagers to me.

Sudden Anatomy: Applies to pony eyebrows not just on an individual-case basis but as a rule. They don't normally have them, but automatically generate some whenever they wear an expression that needs them. Also unlike the usual case, it's so subtle and looks so natural that it's easy to miss.

Huh. I genuinely didn't know that.

They all seem the same age to me, but Applebloom seems to be the most mature.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the CMC were only months or even weeks apart.

As for mane six... no way in hell Twi was nearing her teens when she got her Cutie Mark. Personally, I don't think much about the girls' age, but they all come off as in their mid-to-late teens to me.

I always thought that Spike's age was still in the single-digits. You don't call someone a "baby" when they're ten.

Considering they are all in the same class I'd peg them about the same age.. unless its one of those one room schoolhouses where they have multiple grades learning together.
