As long as the story doesn't expect you to like the assholish character in question, then I don't see why you shouldn't enjoy them
In other words, you should only like characters that you aren't supposed to like?

@story enjoy the character for fulfilling his purpose (being an asshole)
he EXISTS to be a jerk. The story doesn't expect you to sympathize with him, he is what he is and that's it

@Ginger: He was the Jerkass who got introduced 30 minutes into the film, when the truck that had other surivors in it came to the mall. He had a bit of a Deadpan snarker vibe to him. Here's one of his lines from the film, when he and the others were discussing how to get food to the sniper who was across the street from the mall {Keep in mind that the mall is surrounded by hundreads of Fast zombies}.
Michael: There's no point in arguing about this. We need a solution. We need to get some food over there.
Steve: Okay. I have an idea. How about we all draw straws, and the loser runs across the lot with a ham sandwich.
Does he sound familer now?

Well I don't think HP Mo R has any notable jerks. There are lots of nameless bullies, but they mostly only serve to get defeated.

@story Why do you keep trying to get me to read that.
You didn't even answer my question about the mane characters.

Well I'm afraid that you'll complain about The Gift or something like you always do.

Well often times your complaints don't make sense. It's not like Toph and Azula didn't work for their abilities. Anyway, the reason I keep recommending it is because A) It's a great story and B) You keep asking for recommendations and it fits your stated criteria.

... I feel like I'm losing a bit of motivation for some of my schoolwork. I can't quite explain it right now... I've got... like, 3 different things that need to be done before midnight on Sunday.
Normally, stuff like that doesn't sweat me, but now I don't know why I'm feeling like this...
