Okay then. So no cliffhanger? That's a little relieving. Although in my thinking that it would end in a cliffhanger, I thought that maybe they will go for that adventure series they thought of in the beginning.

My only problem was how quickly they defeated Discord. I know the elements are powerful, but I wish they were a little more complex than "insert friendship for instant victory." And Discord, what the hell, man? Dodge or something!

Well that was fun.
It's interesting to note that all Discord did with his storm of chaos is turn all of Equestria into Toon Town.
As expected the slow collapse of their friendship was played for all the depressing slapstick it was worth (not sure how I feel about that).
I admit the final attack was a lot more over the top then I expected, and of course we end with a New Hope reference.
Well can't wait for the rest of the season, and the inevitable grimdark fics staring Discord, its going to be great (or terrible, or both).
