Wow, this thread went really slow today. Only two pages came up while I was gone? Quite unusal for this thread.

we had to have a slow night to make up for the fast yesterday we had.

Colin hasn't let you try potatoes yet, Orion? They're a kind of tuber-vegetable we grow and dig up and eat. Their leaves are usually poisonous, and their flowers might well contain the same toxin, but their tubers are delicious starchy goodness.

In our case it took a good long time to discover the tuber was edible.

Ask Colin for some potato chips or something, they're usually salted.

I fully expect that, when season 3 starts in earnest, I will look away from the screen for half a second, turn back, and find 60 new pages.

And I wouldn't even have to hit refresh.

Yep, and I can imagine that when more season three episodes come out, there will be a ton of overreactive drama on this thread, cause that's all I saw whenever I came here back when season two was still going.

Pff, that's not true.

The standard pattern was: Stream watchers gush over it for a while => someone (stream watcher or otherwise) brings up something they didn't like or just plain says they didn't care for it => we discuss the merits of their reasons => we discuss the episode from a more rational standpoint => we return to a lighter, but still genuine, form of exhuberance over it.

With some supplemental steps based on the events of the episode, like how the season final got us discussing the possible moralities of the changelings while, say, Baby cakes might have ogtten us talking about children(can't recall if it did or not, just an example)

I'm still curious about one thing: When the drama with the then-upcoming "Heart's and hooves day" episode came out, how come it was ONLY the Flutter Mac fans who complained about it? I never saw any Twimac, RD/Big mac, or Twilight/Cheerliee {Yes, I know that's a F/F pairing and all, but has anyone heard of the shipping fandumb? I just know that there have to be morons who insist on those kind of pairings being canon} fans bitch about, just the Fluttermac fans. Not even any other pairing with Big Mac in it had so many people bitching about that one episode.

I'm not talking about this thread, I'm talking about the fandom itself. Sort of.

Personally I don't remember seeing any of that, I just saw people saying that they weren't taking it well

@marston Fluttermac was one of the largest ships, so there were more people to get mad about it.
