Yeah, if there's even the slightest thing strange or unique about a pony, then the response will certainly be greater. That's more or less how most of the prominent background fanon got started. Lyra sitting strangely on a bench, Derpy's eyes, Octavia's ability to be completely nonplussed by Pinkie's antics while wearing a stylish bow tie, etc.

Is that what it was? I always wondered why Octavia got all the attention instead of one of the other 4 or 5 ponies on the stage. I've been wondering why that filly with the archery cutie mark in the CMC's hasn't gotten any attention. She was an earth pony too, kinda hard to imagine how she uses a bow.

Part of it was probably because of the speculation that Octavia may possibly be Pinkie's sister.

It was at the Gala I believe (season 1 finale). Octavia is just playing up on the stage. Pinkie dances over and sings at her and she just ignores her and keeps playing. I think that was Octavia's sole appearance in the show.

I really am surprised she has so little fanart, though. You'd think people would see the arrow and come up with some neat stuff.

Yeah, I'd remedy that if I had any artistic talent.

I did actually use to draw, for about two years. Even started learning to draw with a tablet, and did a bunch of digital coloring and such. My drawings were pretty lame though.

How about....Cyan Arrow? Nah, that sucks.

I've actually started to draw again recently. Mostly CEQ stuff, but it's been pretty fun. Since we're on the subject, what are some good digital colouring programs? Do they mostly come with tablets and such?*

With the neat stuff, I was more talking about story and such. What her cutie mark means, any connections and what have you. This thread's pretty good at coming up with stories, I'm sure we can come up with something for her.

I don't really know about good programs. Illustrator and Photoshop seem to be the most popular, but are ridiculously expensive if you buy them. I had a copy of Photoshop Elements (which is a sort of Photoshop lite I think?) that came with some kind of Draw Manga thing my brother bought. It worked really good, but I don't have it anymore.
