With exception of applejack most of the Mane Six don't seem to have Monetary concerns. Rarity and Rainbow Dash both value fame over money. Fluttershy, Twilight and Applejack care more about their work/studies than material wealth. And pinkie pie only cares about parties.

My topic losing interest.

I need to do something:

OC idea - one of the minions of Big Bad. Unicorn, worked on original robotisater project. He is focused improving aspect of robotisation what could allow robotised victims remain with their magical abilities. And off course AJ and Big Mac would be his victims. He would have some obesion on AJ (as she could be useful for improving process)but also he would want to get others like Twilight and Rainbow.

Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.

How about one of the quiz shows that revolves around backstabbery and greed.

The Weakest Link is a good example. There's also another modern UK quiz I can't remember the name of, the team gets time to negotiate over the prize money at the end of the show but for a limited amount of time where in the money depletes. Contestants often went with nothing due to refusing to compromise over the shares in time. Greed and self entitlement at it's most wonderfully destructive.
