The owl makes a brief cameo as Twilight's pet in May The Best Pet Win. Otherwise I don't think it reappears. There wasn't much to it outside being better than Spike I guess. And a bit spooky.

One curious thing I noticed at the end, RD is shown picking up the CMC with Rarity and AJ, almost like a stand in for Scootaloo's sis.

Rather strange, considering that aside from Rainbow Dash, the rest of the mane 6's pets have had recurring roles.

I actually remember watching something on Rooster teeth that suggests they were fans of the show, though I can't recall what. It may have been the Rainbow Dash hair in this video of them playing Mari0.

I've ever seen them show hate towards bronies though.

Pinkie has Gummy, the Alligator. RD doesn't get a pet until Season 2.

Yeah, Winny's adorable. Although I guess all the pets are pretty adorable. I still love that scene where Opal's batting Hoity Toity's hair.

I keep meaning to jump into the Avatar: The Last Airbender thread, but it always seems like there's some big argument going on that I don't wish to get involved in. So I'm staying in my comfort zone with the FIM thread.

Admittedly about fifty percent enlightenmentCaveman too.
