@Psi 001:

Well, their are some redeeming aspects like Eggman, Dr Fintivus, the artwork as of recently, and the "Return of enerjack" saga. But their are still quite a bit of flaws even after Ian flynn took over IMO. At least Dulcy has been Demoted to extra.tongue

I don't like horror movies much. When I do end up watching one (like, say, channel-surfing with nothing better to do), it's more of me guessing who's going to get brutally maimed next, and berating the characters for every instance of Tempting Fate. As opposed to, you know, being scared out of my pants.

I'm not sure if Zombieland was supposed to be a horror or a comedy, though. Probably a comedy.

@Psi 001 Eggman's mass murder peeves in it though.

There should be a horror movie that reflects on adult fears.

Also, I wonder how long Orion is going to be with Doctor Whooves?

Yeah, sympathy for the protagonists is a hard thing to build up in horror movies these days

Ian Flynn had some good ideas, but had disasterous execution.

And like most of the previous writers, he tries to make the series too angsty and 'mature' and establishes over the top drama and emotional development for characters that haven't even developed a basic personality yet. He does at least bother to maintain some light hearted elements though, compared to Penders who was trying to turn it into an adult sci fi horror.

Actually Flynn seemed better suited for light hearted stories, he did a decent job with the Sonic X series (which was arguably better than the anime). Most of his attempts to do dark dramatic plots end up kind of pretentious.

Also, akin to Sat Am's downfall, the writers love Sally way too much.

@Psi:

If you consider what happend to Sally recently, that flaw might not be true anymore. Maybe.

Kyler: Zombieland was a comedy.

Why would people like Sally so much anyway? -_-

are new members a big enough deal around here that they're worth mentioning in a "what have I missed" update? I guess you all keep close track of the flock. Or herd, in this case.

anyway, watched Look Before you Sleep. I really like that they even mentioned the whole living in a tree during the thunderstorm thing, even if they did kinda handwave it. Magic lightning rod! I also thought it was weird for Twilight to be getting so uncharacteristically enthusiastic about a slumber party, until I realized she was so excited about it because she was doing it by the book. The pillow fight was also pretty neat.

also, the only sonic continuity worth mentioning is the videogames.

I really don't buy Sally being gone forever. It's a change in story but she'll be back.

@ginger: Sally is essentially Twilight Sparkle....but without the Adorkable qualities....or the comical neurotics.....and is ALWAYS right.....and loads of soap opera romance with the main character tacked on.

[up]RD would win, unless Sonic uses the Chaos emeralds to turn into Super Sonic.

@Bliss Yeah... what the hell is magic about a lightning Rod?

Maybe it's invisible... since you can't see a lightning rod in any of the establishing shots of her house

Rainbow's special talent is winning. Plus Sonic is too busy collecting jewlry and bouncing around.

[up]To be fair, Sonic isn't exactly known for losing.

That reminds me, RD has to be playable in a video game.

Trees aren't supposed to be good lightning rods. They have a nasty tendency of exploding when struck by lightning. Or so I heard.
