Also, at the beginning of H&H Day. The CMC must have been VERY late for school, since the ep started with a bell ringing and all the students heading into class, then panned over to the Crusaders in their clubhouse all the way up in Sweet Apple Acres

Looking around "Hearts and Hooves Day"...the clubhouse's exterior upper stairs aren't there at the beginning of the episode when the observatory's missing, but those stairs are there later in the episode, and the interior ladder up to the observatory is there throughout the episode...looking at "Ponyville Confidential", the exact same thing happens there...

Out-of-universe conclusion: The animators inconsistently reused Season 1 files

In-universe conclusion: The observatory is constantly being destroyed and Apple Bloom rebuilds it every time

Maybe on Hearts and Hooves Day, the schedule is more flexible. I don't think they really did much learnin' that episode.

@Whatshisgame: Then the episode comes on, and Blossomforth ends up being noticed for her...flexibility. The bad merchandise thing still stands (somewhat), but trust them to turn it into something interesting.
