Basically, the premise of Ponyfall was "hole opens in the sky, humanized ponies fall out." It was some big dumb collaborative event that some fimfiction regulars were doing.

Apparently it ended up involving a bunch of bland self-inserts that was related to ponies In Name Only. Clogged up the feature box for a while, eventually the site mods said "alright, clean up your shit!" and now they all have to submit to a rigorous editing process headed by the only person in the group with a clue.

Funnily enough, when the whole thing was starting, they actually asked me to write a Cranky Doodle Donkey one. Of course, I had other shit to write so I never got around to it. Lucky me.

Just noticed that there's a FanficRecs.My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic Humans page; that'd probably have the better human fics on it

IMO, ALL openings should have some kind of villain introduction on it too

@ginger Well, it had Zuko, and he was the villain for more time than Azula. Plus, spoilers and whatnot.

It was supposedly a mock intro for season 3 of ATLA. I think it'd been established by then who Azula was... and who Ozai was too

K so I finally got Dragon's Dogma to work... I had to have my boyfriend forward a few ports so the Xbox live thing could connect. Funny how it worked before but all of a sudden.

The first thing you come up against is a Chimera... its kinda tough but I realized that you can latch on to the sucker and just stab away at it til it dies..

Longest... intro.. EVAR... Im only just getting to play the actual game..

The second part of my story concerns an invasion of vikings, but they don't 'fall from the sky' they come from another land.

@Turtle Yeah, the prolog is kinda long, but it does a great job of showing you the ropes and how competent the pawns are.

Is it longer than Kingdom Hearts 2's intro?

I need to play Kingdom Hearts sometime, seems interesting. I don't have any of the systems it's playable on though.

I recently bought a PS2 and KH 1 & 2 for $70. Totally worth it.

IIRC, the opening number to Into the Woods is mostly exposition with very little actual song, though. Of course, I haven't seen the musical in years, but I remember really enjoying it. At The Galla was certainly quite the treat when I first watched the Season One finale.

KH2's tutorial is only beaten in length by very few games, like Final Fantasy XIII. Dragon\'s Dogma has a long into, but only when compared to your average game, not your average JRPG.

@Ginger: While I do like certain individual members, I dislike the Organization as a whole. They sort of encapsulate a lot of what I hate about Nomura.
