Admittedly, he doesn't have much personality in his debut appearance (it was before fighting games became plot-heavy after all), but damn do I dig that red dictator suit. I don't know how he was handled in the later games.

The Japanese incarnations tend to be more serious while the American cartoon continues the Raul Julia impression (I think—I've never seen the live movie). The final episode has one of the best villainous lines I've ever heard:

BISON: "What is it with you girls anyway? I killed my father too and you don't see me crying about it!"

Guy is awesome.

Actually, since you tend to love villains so much, you might want to check out some SNK games (watch playthrus on Youtube and try to read the text). Geese Howard and Rugal Bernstein are awesome enough that I'm almost tempted to go gay for them.

What's the Lunaverse like?

Basically Celestia went crazy a thousand years ago instead of Luna and became Corona. Due to this there are different Elements of Harmony now, Trixie, Lyra, Ditzy, Raindrops, Carrot Top and Cheerilee.

I got all that. but are the stories like? What's the tone?

Well it depends on the story, like FIM there are Slice of Life and Adventure. Boast Busted is similar in tone to Boast Buster, Longest Night Longest Day is a bit darker than Elements of Harmony.

Hmmmm, I think I'll pass. I've got enough to read

Who appears what three time in 52 episodes of FIM? Celestia'll probably have a larger role in Lunaverse than Luna does in Canon.

I've always wanted to see an antagonistic Celestia, but I was thinking more a brilliant, bastardly Tyrant who rules Equestria with an iron fist... hoof
