We still haven't decided on her origin.

I think she should be a fireworks manufacturer who dabbled in alchemy to try and create more impressive fireworks.

After a presentation of her work to her family and friends goes awry and kills them. She snaps. Retreating into her mind where she hears screams of pain as exited laughter and joy.

@Sereg Alright, this guy is a stallion, even bigger than Big Mac, who can cause earthquakes just be stamping his feet. He's also remarkably intelligent.

All right. Fault Line is a huge earth pony stallion who causes earthquakes by stomping. He's also an intelligent politician. His special talent is nieghbourhood restructuring. (He does it both ways.) His motivation is to control others.
