It's funny, well-written, entertaining, cute and makes me feel happy. The characters are endearing with interesting flawed personalities. The plots are done with interesting twists and remind us of things that even adults should remember. There.

@Handleb: It's the expert writing by Lauren and her elite team of writers from the best shows of this recent decade. It's also the sheer quality of the art direction and animation. It's also the GODLIKE dub job by the likes of Tara Strong, Tabitha, Andrea, and Ashleigh :D

@Ginger: The fact that some characters have the same cutie mark is a plot point in my fanfic. My headcanon is that cutie marks and talents have 1 to 1 correspondance.

I think everyone else has pretty much specified my reasons for liking the show, so I have nothing else to really contribute, outside you know, it's fun.
@Fallen Legend: We were talking about Acceptable Targets and stereotypes. Brits seem to be used mercilessly even in kids cartoons, while Mexicans are rather fair about it, to the point they even took offense to banning Speedy Gonzales. If they wanted to use an ethnic pony, those would likely be the safest choices.
