It's there, but it's not really as "in your face" and necessary as a lot of people would probably have you think. I don't ship; in fact, I don't care about it at all. The episode didn't bother me in the slightest.

@Ginger: There were 2 episodes, sort of a two-part deal, focusing on the Pro Bending tournament. Episode 1 was focused heavily on shipping, episode 2 was focused more on the tournament itself. I didn't like them much, thought they were the low point of the show, and explained my reasons for thinking they were poorly done (there were a LOT, and none of them were "because I don't like shipping."

Apparently I gained a reputation for doing nothing but bashing the show constantly, even though those were the only episodes I thought were particularly weak. I do feel the show isn't as good as the original though, sadly, but that may change, since its still pretty early in its run.

I enjoy romance. So I just go with the flow.

I like romance when it's done well, but usually it aint.

Personally I feel actively trying to please your fans almost never works out (see Derpygate). It's best just to make a show you think is good, and let the fans discover it.

@Blue I think a good show would be a mix of shipping and action. It seems awkward in Korra because they don't have equal amounts of both in each episode, but devote separate episodes to both. Maybe as the series progresses, they'll combine them better.

@Fallen Pffft. There's a reason Mjolnir only works for me. You could probably get your own magic weapons. I'd go for something with a bit more reach, like a spear or a halberd.

@Sky Strike: I think it's awkward because none of the 'pairings' have any chemistry or basis for a relationship. Hence why that episode was painfully bad to me (although the shipping was only HALF of why I didn't like those episodes.

How do you hold that hammer anyway? You don't have hands.
