As far as a serious question, we talk about whatever feel like. If there's pony related news, we usually talk about that, but at the moment there isn't. And since lots of people are reading fanfics, the topic tends to focus on them.

Thread derails are why I decided to go with a liveblog instead of simply posting chapter reviews. That way I can keep all of the discussion in the blog comments. It's too bad that no one in the actual FO:E thread seems to be interested in it, though.
