yup, to sum it up the ministries were a great idea on paper that failed horrendesly becuase of two things nopony thought about beforehoof but should have been blindingly obvious. 1. It split the group up, when they were far stronger as a whole. 2. none of the Mane 6 were really qualified to do that sort of work.

Completely true.

And Death Cloud is right. The events leading up to the apocolypse were mainly stupid decisions that seemed like good ideas at the time.

So in other words the world was boned as soon as Celestia abdicated. At least that is the impression I'm getting considering all of the really bad stuff happened afterwards.

well, combo of that, and when the Zebra refused to just SAY what the buck was wrong. If any of the Zebra's had just EXPLAINED there fear's about Luna things could have worked out.

To be honest stuff about War are weakest part of all FOE fics. It's usually average grimdark war fic. Best parts are those in fic present.

No wait. You're right. That is how the saying went. Sorry. But catching traitors was part of her job.

And yeah, Celestia's abdication caused everything to go down the drain.

That's what annoys Ginger, but I think that it made sense as she felt responsible for something very bad.

And Seraph, Word Of God is that the higher ups in Equestria were fully aware of zebra beliefs, they just didn't understand them and used allied zebras to help with that.

EDIT: @Bad: Nah, Havocwing isn't much like Starscream from what I understand of the Transformer. Havocwing just has a massive ego and likes blasting things. He's still loyal to Starlight. She just thinks that she's the most awesome and should be second in command despite the fact that she would suck at that. She's The Brute.

As for the fanfic's JT's are really good. And Darkest Before Dawn is also very good. Pity that it ended before it's time. I was looking forward to Twilight's later years.

Thank you! I'm behind on Make a Wish but found it interesting. A Still More Glorious Dawn Awaits is also very interesting. I've only read the first chapter of The Book of Friendship. I think that like FOE, I'd need to be in the right mood to make good progress with it, but it was promising.

that was the issue even though they knew about the basics, they simply did not understand JUST how powerful those fears were. They pretty much treated them like the rest of the mane 6 treated Twi's freakout in Lesson Zero.
