Well, I'm going to bed. We'll see if my inner Kyubey will try and get Pinkie to watch later.

Goodnight.

So if ponies wielded katanas, would they reverse them in their mouths?

Well, someone's interested, so I guess I might try it. If I decide that I can't take any more, though, don't hold it against me. tongue

Go for it, I won't do anything more than just post my random thoughts on it.

In any case, I need to get some sleep, so I'm going to bed. Hopefully I'll dream of cute canon ponies and not the freaky Fallout ones. tongue See you all tomorrow.

Hmmm... more like frustrating. I'm trying to remember how to make a line perpendicular to another line through point P (which lies on the already made line) using only a compass and a ruler.

@Ilse: You could draw a circle with it's center at point P, then draw another with it's center at one of the points where the circle meets the line, then draw a line through the two points where the circles intersect.

Ilse, do you remember how to cosntruct perpendicular bisectors?

Yeah.... I'm getting tired of reviewing for my math final. But I really need to do well on it. I got a 66 in my last quiz... sad

[up] Kind of. And honestly I kind of gave up on trying that particular construction. Chances are that there won't be much stuff on constructions anyway. Maybe one question.

Should always be prepared for anything though. But who am I to talk considering I'll be taking Math 20.

Well, my final is on Friday. I'm just reviewing the concepts. I'll do actual practice problems later once I review the concepts and get them down.

And my hand is starting to hurt now, since I've been writing over four pages of notes almost non-stop for the past couple of hours.

Perpendicular bisector is a very basic construction which is used as a building block for most others.

Draw a circle centered at P. Draw two more circles (with a larger radius) centered where the first circle intersects with the line. Draw the new line using the points where the larger circles intersect.

So if ponies wielded katanas, would they reverse them in their mouths?
Come again?
Am I hurting? Am I sad? Should I stay or should I go?
I've forgotten how to tell. Did I ever even know?

Oh, yeah, I understand perpendicular bisection, although I was a little confused since we don't have a formal name for the procedure in my class. We just don't really go that much in depth tongue

Oops, I fail at math and reading comprehension apparently. Now I just spent a couple minutes with an actual compass and ruler figuring out that problem. Confound this thread it drives me to maths.tongue

Yeah, the problem is that this was also at the very beginning of the semester, when I could prove from memory the fifth Euclidian postulate using a few lines, a compass, and a ruler [lol]
