@JT Man, now you're making me want to get in on this, too. I need to do something constructive with it, though, to justify the whole thing. I'm not exactly up for writing reviews, though, so I'm not sure what exactly to do...

I think I have Original Character Avoidance Syndrome. Having some of them is fine (and sometimes even nessecary) but having nothing but O Cs makes me question why you don't just write an original story instead of a fanfic.

Huh, I forgot TV Tropes has liveblog functionality. I guess I could do that. Would people here actually want to read live, detailed reactions as they come? I know Story posts some stuff here, but none of it is really opinion pieces, more "oh, that's neat" kind of stuff.

It was wrong of me to say that, Apple. I'm sorry - it's just been a stressful morning.

The length is more or less what puts me off too. Although the premise doesn't really excite me either (kind of an "eh, I guess it could be interesting?" type deal). Those two together make it so I don't really have a reason to choose it over the, oh, probably half dozen other high quality fics I could be recommended and read during that time.

Yeah, FOE is way too long, I have far more important things to do with my time.

@ J teeth, sweet, let us know waht you think as your reading, and remeber the first few chapters are the worst as far as darkness and OMG ewww, it's there to shock both the reader and lil'pip into how wrong the wasteland is, but it gets much much better once she get to new appleoosa and beyond.

And it's not all OC's the Mane cast all serve an important part and have great deal of screentime, if only in flashbacks.

Easily, with Twilight I give her a little badge with her cutie mark on it, Rainbow Dash and Pinkiw are almost too easy since they'd wear something relating to their cutie mark, Rarity would wear something diamonds like a necklace or a belt, etc etc.

And if you're talking about my Derpy picture, it's not on her outfit, she's wearing a shoulder-less top.

@JT: Chapter 20.5 was written by another author but was made canon by kkat. It's apparently rather cloppy.

Ah, that. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I can't even confirm that I'll make it that far. I'll try to get through the first chapter today.

Although my worst fear is that the story will end up being awesome, and then I'll look like an idiot for being so reluctant to read it.

I mean like the overall design of their outfit.

I'll gladly be proven wrong so long as I enjoy what came out of it. I more or less started watching MLP in the first place in order to do that.
