@ Ginger, yeah Belkar is..um....Belkar..and like we said it's one of those that gets steadily better the more you read.

You mean Belkar?
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
One of these days I'd like to read something that's amazing the whole way through
sigh... I need an anchor

when you find hat ginger, you will have found the richest person on the planet if they can pull that off.
You just have to learn to not

and yeah a lot people don't like Belkar. though it's been pretty much confirmed by
Word Of God and some foreshadowing in the story
belkar will die permanently before the end of the story

It's impossible to make anyone 100% happy.

Or at least something that I can't find anything to complain about.
My mind focuses on the negative things. It pushes them to the fore and heightens them

Hey does anyone know what kind of compression and video encoding MLP uses?

ginger, tha'ts the issue, you need to try and learn to cut those feedback loops. Yes I know exactly what your talking about, and how hard it can seem, but once you find a way that works for you it's not that hard, the key is finding some type of metal exercise that works to force your mind off those thoughts.

Hello, everypony. What are we talking about?
Thing is, if I LOVE something then I can ignore it's flaws. But I've been finding such things INCREDIBLY hard to find these days

So as I understand it, the first rasterize the image, then compress it, and then the compressed version is aired. And then people tape it and store it in a second, different compressed format? What a pain.

And what I mean by anchor btw, is something to keep me motivated in the story and to drag me through it when I start getting bored
These are especially necessary for LONG books. Red Eye was my anchor for FOE, and Tywin WAS my anchor for ASOIAF (knowing that he's dead pretty much KILLED my desire to read that series)

@Seraph I don't know. The writing style makes it nigh impossible to take anything seriously.
